• SOUTH KOREA SCHOOL VISIT

On February 10, 2026, Sungdeok Girls’ High School visited SMPK 2 Harapan for a cultural exchange program titled “Creating Together.” The event brought together Indonesian and Korean students through performances, creative activities, and traditional games that promoted friendship and cross-cultural understanding. The program featured choir performances, creative dance, K-Pop performances, modern dance, and interactive workshops such as clay brooch making, Korean fan decorating, bracelet making, and scratch paper art. Students also enjoyed traditional Korean games, creating a joyful atmosphere filled with teamwork and cultural appreciation. This meaningful visit helped strengthen global awareness, creativity, and international friendship among students from both schools.

• PHILIPPINES SCHOOL VISIT

On February 2, 2026, Holy Spirit School of Tagbilaran Philippine visited SMPK 2 Harapan for a cultural and educational exchange program aimed at strengthening international friendship and collaboration between the two schools. The visit featured a warm welcome ceremony with Balinese Pendet Dance performances, the singing of the Indonesian and Philippine national anthems, choir and dance performances, and interactive cultural activities. Students from both schools also participated in traditional games, classroom learning sessions, souvenir exchanges, and group activities that encouraged teamwork and cross-cultural understanding. The program concluded with a farewell session, certificate presentation, and group photos, leaving meaningful memories and strengthening the bond between the two schools.

• WORLD WITHOUT BORDERS ORGANIZATION CHINA

Mandarin has become increasingly important in the era of globalization, especially considering China’s significant role in the world economy. SMPK 2 Harapan provides students with the opportunity to learn Mandarin as preparation for future global challenges. Every year, volunteers from China who are part of the World without Borders organization regularly visit the school to teach Mandarin to students. This experience is highly valuable because students can learn and practice Mandarin directly with native speakers, helping them improve both their language skills and cultural awareness.
